A mother of four children developed K-ID's BMV, Inc.™. The original thought process of K-ID's is to provide awareness to parents to better equip them for a quicker response if their child was abducted or missing. Due to the increase of missing children and child abductors, K-ID's found it imperative to safeguard children. According to NISMART-2 (National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway and Thrownaway Children) research, which studied the year 1999, an estimated:

  • 797,500 children were reported missing;
  • 58,200 children were abducted by non-family members;
  • 115 children were the victims of the most serious, long-term non-family abductions called "stereotypical kidnappings";
  • 203,900 children were the victims of family abductions.
    To break this down in simpler terms, nearly 2,100 children a day, or almost 2 children a minute, are reported missing.

The ID Cards are used as a tool for the authorities to better respond to missing or kidnapped children. While the identification card is not the only tool to use as a safety measure, the company will also be providing merchandise to the caregivers that will specifically help provide reassurance for their child's safety. The company believes each child is a unique and special individual and should be safeguarded from predators. K-ID's will integrate the most reliable and advanced technology to create a comprehensive identification card for each child. In addition, we will educate our customers and heighten their awareness on how to protect the child while continuing to collaborate with law enforcement agencies. As a result, parents or caregivers are given the opportunity to protect their child and keep accurate records by eliminating confusion and empowering the child and the parent.

With today's technology, the professionally designed identification cards are cost efficient and readily available to all socioeconomic levels. K-ID's BMV, Inc.™ has taken great steps to insure these identification cards are available to all children. K-ID's feels by keeping the identification cards cost effective it will in return help safeguard the children in the community. K-ID'S would like be a link that opens up the channels of communication between the caregiver and the child. This will enable the caregiver to adequately educate the child of the potential dangers of predators.

Being a mother of four, I know the daunting task of keeping accurate and up-to-date records. As parents, we enjoy watching our children grow and develop and it is hard to maintain accurate records. Therefore, K-IDIZER Binders™ was developed. The binders are a way to help caregivers put a system into place and to become more organized.

People feel powerless to affect the system and this misconception is understandable given the global nature of the problems facing us as a country. However, by focusing K-ID'S efforts, citizens, and organizations can form partnerships that positively and proactively influence the community.

No business idea is too large that each and every one of us cannot embrace it. Independently, none of us has the power to effect profound change. However, by reaching out and linking arms, together, we can change the world.
