K-ID’s BMV has designed this secured website using the world’s latest and toughest encryption to store child’s information securely on-line. This will allow parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing that they are doing everything possible to keep their children safe.

As the administrator inputs and generates each Child’s ID at the Kiosk, Card Integrators developed a system that transmits this data directly through an ODBC driver connection that offers its own measure of encryption. While attempting to transfer this data into the SQL server that resides behind a firewall, the server is further verifying the IP address from which this data is originating. The SQL server that is functioning as a main depository for this data resides in a secure data center to which only authorized personnel are allowed access. Any others accessing the database are authorized users which undergo a 2-step authentication process to gain access. First, their IP address is authenticated and, second, they must enter a valid User ID and Password before accessing the data.

VISITORS ACCESSING THEIR CHILD'S ID DATA

At the Kiosk, a Caregiver is given, at point of purchase, a User ID and Password that will allow them to access only their child’s data online through the secure web site. When they are online an array of security measures is immediately enforced. First, the user must login with the provided User ID and Password which is passed via SSL (secure socket layer) residing on the server housing the web site. The second step requires the Caregiver to answer additional identification questions that only a Caregiver would know. Only when the system verifies their identity can the Caregiver access their child’s ID online. The online ID will not be able to be altered in any way KID'S BMV website is only a storage container for your child's information.
We do not share any information about your child with any third parties unless the disclosure is reasonably necessary: to comply with law, including, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the safety and security of your children and our Website.
